Project Duration: May 2023 to Present
My Role: UX/UI Designer (This project was solely done by myself)
Responsibilities: I was responsible for the whole ideation process and creation of this website, from gathering relevant information to add to the site through conducting research. I was also responsible for adding the user interface elements to building the page navigation buttons including all the page layouts to selecting the colours and typography for this website. (At present I am still in the process of building this website. However I wanted to showcase what skills I have gained since completing my UX/UI Design course last year).
The Product: Bridal Wear is a bridal wear website. It offers its customers a range of bridal gowns to bridesmaids dresses and much more. There's even outfits for the kids plus a designer range of dresses to choose from. Main target audience are women of various age groups.
The Project: My main aim here was to create a website on bridal wear which looked classy and elegant with a simple layout and have consistency in design & elements. Another focus was to give users a product that was usable and enjoyable with easy navigation options which would allow the user to look for items faster.
The Problem: The problem I noticed after viewing a few bridal sites was that most of them looked either too minimalist with items or too overwhelmed by items there just wasn't the right balance of items per web page or consistency.
My Goal: To create a website which looks classy & elegant and has a similar theme running throughout each web page. Also, I wanted my website to house enough items on each page with clear indications for navigation. Another goal was to give users a good experience which was also enjoyable.
